The Viro BLOCK OUT 8977 Series Electric Lock with Push Button is designed for reliable access control on internal and external doors, pedestrian gates, wooden doors, and metal gates. It is a practical solution for residential, commercial, and light industrial entrances where electric opening and strong mechanical locking are both required.
This lock features a manually operated dead bolt that keeps the lock secured independently from the electric impulse. This means the electric opening function can be used for daily access, while the dead bolt provides an added level of physical security when locked manually.
The adjustable backset can be set to 50, 60, 70, or 80 mm using the supplied Allen key, making installation more flexible and helping the lock replace common existing electric locks. The BLOCK OUT is also interchangeable with Viro V97 locks while maintaining the old striker, making it suitable for retrofit applications.
Built with a galvanized steel case and cover finished in anthracite metallic paint, the lock is designed for durability in changing weather conditions. It includes a solid nickel plated brass latch, solid nickel plated brass dead bolt, brass push button, steel adjustable striker, and Viro profile nickel plated brass keys.
