Scotch® Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is a premium grade, 30 mil thick, highly conformable rubber splicing tape designed for professional electrical applications. This self-fusing tape features an ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) backing with a highly conformable rubber-resin adhesive that provides exceptional performance in demanding electrical environments. The tape is rated for continuous adhesion up to 194°F (90°C) and can be stretched up to 100% for void-free, moisture-resistant insulation, making it ideal for low or high voltage applications and joints up to 69 kV.
The special polyester liner ensures the tape remains protected and clean during application and will not stick to the tape upon unwind. This self-amalgamating tape is non-vulcanizing and shelf-stable with excellent electrical properties, providing superior insulation resistance greater than 10^6 megohms and a dielectric strength of 800 V/mil. With an elongation at break of 800%, this tape delivers exceptional flexibility and durability for moisture sealing electrical connections in commercial and industrial construction, maintenance and repair operations, mining, residential construction, solar, and wind power applications.
Each case contains 32 rolls, with each roll measuring 1 inch wide by 30 feet long. The tape meets ASTM D-4388 Type 1, 2 & 3 specifications and is RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.
