RUPES XC-2 Xtra Cut Compound is a high-cut polishing compound engineered for rapid defect removal on demanding surfaces. It is especially suited to gelcoat, high-solid industrial finishes, countertops, hard paint and aviation applications where aggressive correction is required. It can also be used as the first polishing step after sanding or to remove oxidation and heavy contamination.
One of the main advantages of XC-2 is its universal compatibility with different machine movements. RUPES confirms that it can be used with dual-action as well as rotary polishers, giving professionals flexibility across a wide range of correction systems.
Compared with the previous XC-1 formula, XC-2 delivers faster defect removal, an improved finish with better clarity, superior performance on solid surfaces and an improved emulsion that makes residue easier to wipe off. The formula is water based, white in colour and also features a new fragrance.
For maximum material removal, RUPES recommends pairing XC-2 with aggressive rotary wool pads such as the Twisted Wool series. For faster correction with a better finish, it can be paired with Cut and Finish wool pads. On dual-action machines, RUPES recommends coarse wool or extreme-cut microfiber pads depending on the working surface.
