The GRAETZ GammaTwin is a compact professional dose rate meter designed for measuring gamma radiation and X rays. It measures ambient dose rate equivalent H*(10) and ambient dose equivalent H*(10), making it suitable for radiation monitoring in professional and industrial environments. According to the product sheet, the instrument is PTB approved and uses an energy compensated Geiger Müller tube as its detector.
Measured values are shown clearly on a large backlit LC display. The user can display dose and dose rate either simultaneously or separately, while a logarithmic bar graph provides an additional analog indication of dose rate. The instrument also includes four preset alarm thresholds for both dose rate and accumulated dose.
The GammaTwin automatically and continuously stores accumulated dose in non volatile memory, while stored dose values and configured parameters remain saved even when the batteries are changed. A permanent self test and menu driven navigation support dependable daily operation.
Designed for demanding use, the meter has an aluminium housing with IP54 splash protection and operates across a temperature range from minus 20°C to plus 60°C. It runs on two AAA 1.5V batteries and produces an acoustic alarm rated at 80 dB(A) measured at 30 cm.
The standard GammaTwin measures dose rates from 0.5 μSv/h up to 70 mSv/h and accumulated dose from 0.5 μSv up to 1.0 Sv. A robust nylon carrying bag is also included.
