The tape is constructed from 30-lb. kraft paper reinforced with fiberglass, making it ideal for sealing corrugated boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.
When moistened, the adhesive interacts with porous surfaces to form a powerful, secure bond that creates a tamper-evident seal. The paper construction is easy to handle, making it perfect for hand applications, and boxes sealed with this tape are easy to open without cutting tools. This medium duty tape conforms easily over carton edges and corners to form secure C-clip and L-clip seals, and works exceptionally well on recycled cartons and non-unitized loads.
The 3M™ Water Activated Paper Tape 6146 meets the needs of numerous industries including food, beverage, medical pharmaceutical, paper, print, electronics, shipping and distribution centers. Each case contains 10 rolls of 450 feet length and 72mm width, providing substantial coverage for industrial packing operations. Application is most easily accomplished at room temperature, and the tape performs reliably throughout normal temperature ranges encountered during shipping and storage.
