This industrial-grade tape features a natural color and measures 3 inches in width by 36 yards in length with a 125 mil thickness. The tape is specifically designed to seal out moisture, dust, and drafts while allowing air or gas vapors to pass through for a breathable seal. The open-cell foam construction helps trap contaminants while maintaining airflow, making it ideal for applications requiring both protection and ventilation.
The 4108 foam tape excels in cushioning and dampening sound in various electronic applications including printers, keyboards, computers, aircraft lights, and automotive dashboards. It is also suitable for recessed lighting installations and door, window, and cabinet seals. The tape features 3M™ Adhesive 350, a pressure-sensitive modified acrylic adhesive that provides high initial quick-stick to multiple substrates with excellent chemical resistance and shear holding strength. The adhesive maintains performance at temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) in short-term applications and up to 350°F (176°C) for long-term use.
Each case contains 3 rolls of tape, with the adhesive protected by a thick silicone-treated paper liner that offers an attractive and clean appearance after application. The tape achieves satisfactory adhesion within 20 minutes and continues to build strength over time. This product is intended for industrial and occupational use only and is not suitable for consumer applications. The natural foam color may develop a yellow appearance when exposed to light, which does not affect the tape's physical performance or functionality.
