This transparent polyethylene-based tape features ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW-PE) backing that creates a protective "slip plane" effect between surfaces, allowing contact without wear. The tape measures 24 inches wide by 18 yards long with a total thickness of 6.7 mil, making it ideal for protecting plastic and metal surfaces in demanding environments.
The tape is engineered with a rubber adhesive that provides excellent initial tack for immediate bonding to material surfaces. Its unique combination of properties includes exceptional hardness, low surface energy, and outstanding abrasion resistance that exceeds PTFE performance. The translucent, abrasion-resistant backing helps protect surfaces from wear while reducing squeaks, rattles, and other noises caused by vibration or movement.
