This professional-grade tape features a translucent green polyester film backing combined with a chemical-resistant, pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive that performs reliably in extreme temperature conditions ranging from -60°F (-50°C) to 400°F (204°C). The tape is specifically designed for powder coating, anodizing, and flash breaking applications across the transportation, aerospace, and metalworking industries.
The tape's exceptional construction includes a strong, tear-resistant polyester backing that is tough enough to break through powder coating and resins during removal without slivering or breaking. Its smooth, translucent green backing aids in precise identification and accurate positioning on work surfaces, while the silicone adhesive ensures sharp, consistent paint lines and excellent adhesion to difficult surfaces even in demanding conditions. The tape removes cleanly in one-piece from most surfaces, minimizing waste and improving operational efficiency.
With excellent chemical resistance properties, this 3.2 mil thick tape excels in chemical processes and harsh working conditions such as acid or caustic chemical milling baths. It is ideal for holding parts or vacuum bags during composite bonding operations, protecting metal surfaces during chemical processes, reducing scratches during handling and shipping, and serving as a flash breaker in metal bonding processes where excess epoxy flows on the tape. Each case contains 24 rolls of 72-yard length, 2-inch width tape, meeting ASTM D3330, ASTM D3652, and ASTM D3759 specifications.
