3M™ Polyester Protective Tape 336 is a thin, transparent polyester film tape specifically designed to protect polished metal, plastic, and finished surfaces from light abrasion, nicks, scratches, and other damage during production, packing, shipping, and installation. The tape features a low tack rubber adhesive that adheres to a wide variety of surfaces with minimal adhesion build-up and clean removal, ensuring surfaces remain unharred and free of sticky residue after tape removal. The transparent backing provides excellent visibility through the tape to the protected area, enabling easy and accurate application while maintaining clear visibility of the underlying surface throughout the protection period.
This protective tape offers exceptional performance characteristics with excellent heat, abrasion, tear, scratch, impact, and puncture resistance. The extensible and abrasion-resistant polyester backing is ideal for forming operations and provides superior durability in demanding industrial applications. The tape can withstand extended exposure to temperatures up to 150°F (66°C) for prolonged periods and short-term exposure up to 250°F (121°C) for 30 minutes or less, making it suitable for various thermal environments.
