3M™ Polyester Protective Tape 336 is a premium thin, transparent polyester film tape designed to protect polished, metal, and plastic surfaces from light abrasion, nicks, and scratches. Featuring a low tack rubber adhesive with minimal adhesion build-up, this protective tape is commonly used during production, packing, shipping, and installation processes. The transparent backing provides excellent visibility through the tape to the protected area, ensuring easy application and verification of surface coverage.
This industrial-grade protective tape offers exceptional performance characteristics including excellent abrasion, tear, scratch, puncture, and moisture resistance. It can withstand extended exposure to temperatures up to 150°F (66°C) for prolonged periods and short-term exposure up to 250°F (121°C) for up to 30 minutes. The extensible, abrasion-resistant backing is ideal for forming operations, and the tape won't mar or leave sticky residue behind, making it perfect for finished surfaces that require protection without damage.
The 336 model comes in a convenient 9 roll case with each roll measuring 1 inch wide by 144 yards long with a thickness of 1.5 mil. Recommended applications include protection from fumes and splash during plating processes, protection of polished stainless steel and aluminum in fabrication and shipping, protection of nameplates and instrument panels during installation, and protection of finished non-metallic surfaces. This product is designed for industrial and occupational use only.
