This highly conformable dark silver lead foil-backed tape is coated with a distinctive green rubber-based adhesive that provides excellent initial grab and long-lasting bond while removing cleanly from most surfaces. The tape resists flame, moisture, weather, UV degradation, and many chemicals commonly used in electroplating and anodizing processes, making it ideal for specialized industrial masking and protection applications.
The malleable construction of this lead foil tape allows it to be shaped into complex or detailed patterns and can be die-cut into specific shapes for precision assembly and manufacturing processes. The lead foil backing can be burnished to fully cover the adhesive and allow complete metal-to-metal contact with the base surface, resulting in optimal electrical path continuation and reduced build-up at the adhesive interface. With a rubber-based adhesive that bonds well to a variety of surfaces including most metals, this tape performs reliably over a wide temperature range from -60°F to 225°F (-51°C to 107°C).
Each case contains 9 rolls of 1-inch wide by 36-yard long tape with a total thickness of 6.8 mil and a lead foil backing thickness of 5 mil. This industrial-grade tape meets ASTM D3652, ASTM D3759, and ASTM D3833 specifications and features an 18-month shelf life.
