The tape resists flame, moisture, weather, UV degradation, and many chemicals used in electroplating and anodizing processes, making it ideal for specialized industrial masking and protection applications.
The tape's exceptional pliability allows it to be formed into detailed and intricate shapes and patterns, or die-cut into specific configurations to meet precise assembly and manufacturing process requirements. The lead foil backing can be burnished to fully cover the adhesive, enabling direct metal-to-metal contact with the base surface. This metal-to-metal contact maintains electrical continuity and reduces build-up at the adhesive interface, ensuring superior electrical conductivity. The rubber-based adhesive bonds exceptionally well to a variety of surfaces, including most metals, and performs reliably over a wide temperature range from -60°F to 225°F (-51°C to 107°C).
With a total thickness of 6.8 mil and a backing thickness of 5 mil, this single roll contains 36 yards of 18-inch wide tape. The product meets ASTM D3652, ASTM D3759, and ASTM D3833 specifications and carries strong acid and base resistance.
