This dark silver lead foil-backed tape features a distinctive green rubber adhesive that provides excellent initial grab and long-lasting bonding capabilities while removing cleanly from most surfaces. The tape is engineered to resist flame, moisture, weather, UV degradation, and many chemicals commonly used in electroplating and anodizing processes, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments.
The tape's exceptional pliability and conformability allow it to be formed into detailed and intricate shapes and patterns, or die-cut into specific shapes to meet precise assembly and manufacturing process requirements. The lead foil backing can be burnished to fully cover the adhesive, enabling direct metal-to-metal contact that maintains electrical continuity and reduces build-up at the adhesive interface. With its green rubber adhesive that bonds well to a variety of surfaces including most metals, this tape performs reliably over a wide temperature range from -60°F to 225°F (-51°C to 107°C).
This product comes with an easy-release film liner that facilitates handling and application. The tape meets multiple industry standards including ASTM D3652, ASTM D3759, and ASTM D3833, and carries strong acid and base resistance properties.
