3M™ General Purpose PTFE Glass Cloth Tape 5153L is a premium industrial adhesive tape featuring a light brown woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). This linered version of the 5153 model provides a slick, non-stick surface on process machinery with an extremely low coefficient of friction. The tape is engineered with a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive that creates exceptional non-stick performance at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for heat sealing and packaging equipment applications.
Designed for high-strength applications requiring increased durability, this 36-inch by 36-yard tape offers superior resistance to tears, punctures, and most chemicals. The glass cloth reinforced backing provides greater tensile strength compared to typical PTFE film-backed tapes, extending service life when subjected to abrasion and wear. With a total thickness of 8 mil and backed by silicone adhesive technology, this tape delivers reliable performance across a wide temperature range from -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C).
