Formed from a light brown woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), this tape provides an extremely low coefficient of friction combined with a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive to create a non-stick surface that performs reliably at elevated temperatures up to 500°F/260°C.
This reinforced PTFE tape offers exceptional durability and strength, featuring glass cloth reinforcement that provides greater tensile strength and superior resistance to tears and punctures compared to typical PTFE film-backed tapes. The silicone adhesive delivers high-temperature performance with excellent long-term aging characteristics, making it ideal for heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment, and high-temperature bundling applications.
