This industrial-grade tape features an open-cell, semi-rigid urethane foam carrier with high shear adhesive technology that provides excellent high temperature resistance and environmental stability. The tape is ideal for interior mounting applications where gap filling and vibration dampening are required, including mounting interior signs, nameplates, and electronic components.
The versatile bonding capabilities of this foam tape make it an excellent alternative to riveting or welding for light-duty attaching and mounting tasks. The 3M Adhesive 100 formulation offers firm, pressure-sensitive adhesive characteristics with very good high temperature and solvent resistance, along with very high shear holding power. Bond strength increases substantially with natural aging, providing long-lasting durability. The open-cell foam structure aids in component cooling while the thick foam effectively dampens and prevents vibration, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and transportation applications.
Each case contains 6 rolls of 2-inch wide by 18-yard length tape with 250 mil thickness. The product meets ASTM D3654 specifications and features a 24-month shelf life. The primary liner is 62# densified kraft paper with green plaid coloring.
