3M™ Double Coated Urethane Foam Tape 4004 is an off-white, 0.250 inch (6.4 mm) thick, double coated, open cell urethane foam tape engineered for superior bonding performance in interior mounting applications. This industrial-grade tape features 3M™ Adhesive 100, a firm acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive system that delivers high ultimate bond strength, excellent high temperature resistance, and very high shear holding power. The adhesive bond strength increases substantially with natural aging, making it ideal for long-term applications.
The tape is manufactured with a semi-rigid urethane foam carrier that provides excellent gap-filling capabilities and vibration dampening properties. The open-cell foam structure aids in component cooling while the thick foam construction prevents vibration and noise transmission. This makes it particularly suitable for electronic applications, interior sign mounting, and nameplate attachment where a thicker foam tape is required. The 3M™ Adhesive 100 is well-known in the industry for its environmental and chemical resistance, offering excellent bond to metal and high surface energy plastics.
Each case contains 3 rolls of tape, with each roll measuring 3 inches wide by 18 yards long.
