This 6.5 mil double-sided tape utilizes a 0.5 mil hand-tearable polyester film carrier coated on both sides with a heavy layer of acrylic adhesive, providing superior bonding and exceptional conformability to both irregular and flat surfaces. The tape bonds exceptionally well to most substrates, including low surface energy films and plastics, making it ideal for high-speed splicing, web processing, and demanding industrial applications.
The 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9741 offers ultra-high peel strength and excellent shear strength to withstand the most rigorous splicing applications and flying splices. It features excellent UV and heat resistance, performing reliably under a wide temperature range from -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C). The tape is mounted on a 55# glassine backing with white liner for easy deployment and handling. Double-sided adhesion increases dimensional stability, ensuring secure bonding while maintaining easy handling characteristics. The product comes in a convenient 24 roll per case packaging format, with each roll measuring 48mm wide by 55 meters long.
