3M™ Double Coated Tape 9629PC is a high-performance adhesive tape engineered for industrial applications requiring superior bonding to difficult-to-bond surfaces. This clear polyester (PET) carrier tape features 3M™ Quick Bonding Adhesive 360, which delivers very high initial bond strength and rapid cycle times. The tape excels at bonding to low surface energy plastics including polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE), as well as powder-coated painted surfaces and dissimilar materials such as metals and most plastics.
The 9629PC variant combines a 0.5 mil thick clear PET carrier with dual-sided quick-bond acrylic adhesive coating (1.75 mil on each side) for a total thickness of 4 mil without liner. The tape is backed with a tan 58# polycoated kraft paper liner that offers improved moisture stability and easier handling during converting and application. This construction makes it an excellent razor-thin alternative to glue, screws, and rivets for general-purpose joining, mounting, and splicing applications.
With an operating temperature range from -40°C to 93°C, this industrial-grade tape is suitable for electronics, automotive, and general industrial applications.
