3M™ Double Coated Tape 93020LE is a market-proven, high-performance bonding solution featuring a polyester film carrier with adhesive coated on both sides. This versatile tape delivers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces including metals, plastics, glass, papers, and painted surfaces. The tape is engineered with 3M's High Strength Acrylic Adhesive 300LSE family, manufactured using a solventless process, making it an environmentally responsible choice for industrial applications.
This double coated tape measures 54 inches in width and 60 yards in length with a total thickness of 7.9 mil. It features a tan 58 lb. polycoated kraft paper liner ideal for die-cutting and converting applications. The polyester carrier provides dimensional stability to foams and other substrates, making it significantly easier to handle during slitting and die-cutting operations. The tape demonstrates excellent bond strength to low surface energy substrates including powder coatings and plastics such as polypropylene (PP), while also providing high adhesion to metals and high surface energy materials.
The tape performs reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°F/-40°C to 300°F/148°C, with bond strength increasing as a function of time and temperature. It offers very high initial adhesion and excellent resistance to industrial chemicals, consumer chemicals, moisture, and humidity.
