This 2 mil (0.05 mm) tape is a market-leading solution for bonding plastics across numerous industries, offering excellent bond strength to low surface energy substrates such as powder coatings and polypropylene (PP). The tape provides very high initial adhesion with bond strength that increases over time and temperature, making it ideal for applications requiring premium performance and a thin profile.
Manufactured using a solventless manufacturing process, this versatile tape offers good chemical, humidity, and moisture resistance while performing across a wide temperature range from -40°F/-40°C to 300°F/148°C. The double-linered design features a primary 58 lb. polycoated kraft paper liner (tan, 4 mil) and a secondary 83 lb. polycoated kraft paper liner (tan, 6.2 mil), making it ideal for die-cutting and converting applications with easy after-market installation. This tape meets UL 969 standards and is part of the 3M™ High Strength Acrylic Adhesive 300LSE family, providing excellent adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces including oily substrates.
