3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9505 is an economical solution featuring 3M™ Industrial Acrylic Adhesive 220, which provides excellent bonding to high surface energy (HSE) materials such as metals and plastics. This transfer tape consists of a 5.0 mil acrylic adhesive layer applied to a 4.2 mil polycoated kraft (PCK) paper liner that protects the adhesive until ready for application. The thicker adhesive formulation improves wet-out and adhesion on textured surfaces, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
The tape is available in a 24-inch width by 360-yard length format, supplied as 1 roll per case. It features excellent peel adhesion to HSE materials and offers good shear strength, making it suitable for a wide range of general bonding applications. The PCK liner peels away quickly and easily, providing efficient handling and application. This product meets FCA MS-CC240 automotive OEM specifications and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use within its operating temperature range.
Recommended applications include general industrial bonding, metal bonding, painted metal bonding, nameplate and applique attachment, graphic attachment, and lamination to printed polycarbonate and polyester materials. The product operates effectively from -40°C to 177°C (-40°F to 350°F) and features an 18-month shelf life.
